BATCA Election Hustings

BATCA’s hustings held on 5th June was a valuable contribution to local democracy in the 2017 General Election campaign. It drew a large audience and gave the public the opportunity to see the candidates in action and put questions to them. Conservative, Green, Liberal Democrat and Labour candidates took part. It attracted the biggest audience of all the hustings held in Tooting for this election.

Community Fun Day

Back after a two year gap, the Community Fun Day on 15th July in Broadwater Road was a resounding success. Organised by BATCA, the schools of the Al Risalah Education Trust and St Augustine’s church, it drew large crowds from all faiths and backgrounds for a great day out together to celebrate Tooting’s community and diversity. Many thanks to all those involved from BATCA and beyond, espcially our primary sponsors Pearl Chemist Group, Fitness First, Likeminders and GSF Motorworks.
