BATCA is a network of individuals and organisations who are committed to creating a harmonious, thriving community based on trust and friendship between people of all faiths, cultures, ages and backgrounds. It has a wide range of partner bodies and seeks to enable them to work together. It holds events and meetings open to all several times a year in Tooting.

Community Awards 2016

Many remarkable local volunteers received awards at the BATCA Community Awards 2016 celebration evening on 24th November. It was a great event. Over 200 people from all local communities hear inspiring stories of the award recipients, enjoyed good food and entertainment, and heard a rousing speech from special guest John Bird, founder of the Big Issue. Rosena Allin-Khan, MP for Tooting, the Mayor of Wandsworth and others spoke. For details of the award recipients and photos, see the events page above.

BATCA’s 10th birthday!

BATCA’s 10th birthday was celebrated with gusto and a splendid cake at the Community Awards event on 24th November. This marked ten successful years since BATCA was founded in 2006 as a community response to the tragic events in London of July 2005. All are invited to join us to make BATCA an even stronger force for the future.
