BATCA Multifaith Peace Prayers on 7th November Celebrating our strength and unity

At the BATCA Multifaith Peace Prayers at Tooting Broadway, faith leaders (Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Muslim and Sikh) offered prayersfor peace. Cllr Jane Cooper, Mayor of Wandsworth and Rosena Allin-Khan, until recently MP for Tooting, emphasised the resilience of our community. Members of the public lit candles. Girls from Al Risalah Muslim Secondary School spoke of their desire for a world free of war.

£3750 presented from Community Fun Day to St George’s on 7th November

A cheque for £3750 from the proceeds of the Community Fun Day on 13th July was handed to St George’s representatives at a presentation at Gatton School. The donation will provide a new cardiac monitor for children’s wards and contribute to the cost of a specialised chair for elderly patients. Over the years, over £28,000 has been donated from Fun Days to St George’s.
