BATCA Multifaith Peace Ceremony
6-7pm on Thursday 7th November
Outside Tooting Broadway tube station
This is a reminder of the Multifaith Peace Ceremony from 6-7pm this Thursday, 7th
November, when leaders of the main faiths and civic leaders gather to call for peace and affirm the strength and resilience of our area.
Please support this much cherished annual event, when the whole community comes together.
Leaders from the Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Muslim and Sikh traditions will gather outside Tooting Broadway tube station to say short prayers for peace, and civic leaders, in particular Dr Rosena Allin-Khan, MP for Tooting and Councillor Jane Cooper, the Mayor of Wandsworth, will respond. The public share in this and light candles. The event will be led by Rev Andrew Davey, vicar of St Augustine’s Church, Broadwater Road.
