To mark National Hate Crime Awareness Week,
the Metropolitan Police, in partnership with Tell MAMA, Thrive, Wandsworth Council, Wandsworth Children Safeguarding Board and local community groups are leading an information initiative on Sunday 14
th October.
Their stall will be outside Iceland in Tooting High Street from 10 – 4 pm. It will help everyone learn more about hate crime, how to recognise it, what to do if they or someone they know is a victim of hate crime, and how to report a hate crime. There will be a secluded area where people can discuss confidential issues.
The stall will also give information on other issues such as blood donation, child safeguarding, and parental assistance and answer questions. People will also be asked to feed back what they feel are the most pressing issues in the borough.
