Neighbourhood Network this Wednesday 6th February

An invitation from Neighbourhood Network
Neighbourhood Wednesday 10.45 -1200 6th February at Richard’s Kitchen

Once again, Neighbourhood Wednesday is nearly upon us!

This is an invitation to anyone who lives in SW12, SW17 or nearby and wants to get to know a few more local residents to join us for our fortnightly drop-in at Richard’s Kitchen, 16A Tooting Bec Road, SW17 8BD with the next one being this Wednesday – 6th February.

Not only is Richard’s Kitchen very close to Tooting Bec tube station, it’s also well served by the following buses – 249, 319, 219, 155 and 355. The nearest stops are Tooting Bec Station or St Anselm’s Church. If you’re driving, parking bays are available in the local sidestreets – Wandsworth CPZ D3 Subzones – Tooting Bec
You may be a homeworker, a stay-at-home parent, a pensioner or a carer, newly retired or just someone who has some time on a Wednesday morning to stop by for a chat over a tea or coffee between 1045 and 1200. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you do – you’re all welcome. Those who know Richard’s Kitchen will know that space is a little limited so please do not bring non-collapsible pushchairs. Also, there is a step up from the pavement making it unsuitable for wheelchair users who cannot manage this step. These Wednesdays have also been designed to coincide with the Friends of Tooting Common Litter Pick that usually runs from 1130, so if you’re on the way to join the Litter Pick, please do drop in and say hi.

Local events
Rogue Opera will be performing Bizet’s ‘Carmen’ on Saturday 16th February 2019 at 7pm at St Mary’s Church, Balham High Road (between Du Cane Court and Irene House). Admission is free, with retiring collection. This is a staged intimate production sung in French with English surtitles by 6 singers/actors, plus dancer and pianist. Everyone welcome

Wandsworth Libraries
Take a look at all these activities on offer this month in our local libraries!
I think it’s fair to say there really is something for everyone!
