Everyone’s invited to enjoy Wandsworth Arts Fringe, the arts festival supported by Wandsworth Council. There’s an astonishing mix of performances and events, including theatre, dance, music of all kinds, comedy, art, crafts, skills taster classes and workshops. There’s plenty for kids. In all, there’ll be 190 events spread over 55 venues across the borough, which are expected to attract many thousands.
Highlights this year include:
Touche Buse – When you’re duelling with life – it’s the blows that make shows. Australian comic and ex ‘Neighbours’ star Grant Busé is set to satirically serenade London with his “ingenious comedy music” ★★★★★ (Tulpa). Enjoy Busé’s charm, sharp wit and hit tunes as he duels with all the big issues like responsibility, blame, death and Marie Kondo.
RAD Get a Taste For Dance – Try a free taster session with the Royal Academy of Dance, taught by highly experienced tutors
DIE! DIE! DIE! OLD PEOPLE DIE! – A funny and fragile study of ageing, death and the forgotten art of grieving. A simple but paper-fine portrait of a timeless trio: a love triangle cursed to eternal life without eternal youth, in an age where death and the forgotten art of grieving have been madicalized out of existence.
See below for the details of the launch event on Friday 3 May featuring the celebrated Cirque Bijou.
