Volunteer for Home-Start to help families needing support

Help families who need support
Volunteer for Home-Start Wandsworth

Home-Start Wandsworth are looking for people to join their network of amazing volunteers, who help families with children under the age of five who may be struggling with post-natal depression, isolation, financial hardship or disability. Volunteers visit families in their homes for 2-4 hours of support a week.

Home-Start Wandsworth have 77 trained volunteers in their network and last year supported 155 families and helped 237 children thrive.

The next volunteer training course will run from 26th February to 25th March.

Volunteering for Home-Start Wandsworth not only transforms the lives of the families that they support but also the lives of the volunteers too. They say:

“Not only do I use my skills and feel like I’m actually making a difference, but I’ve also learnt a lot from workshops and from the people at Home-Start.”
“Although I wasn’t necessarily looking to meet new people and make new friends, I definitely have. My experiences have surpassed my expectation.”
