Home-Start Wandsworth needs your help to respond to Coronavirus

Home-Start Wandsworth needs your help to respond to Coronavirus
Home-Start Wandsworth remains as committed as ever to supporting vulnerable families during these difficult times. The practical and emotional demands of parenthood are challenging enough in normal times but the current pandemic adds so many additional layers of anxiety, uncertainty and isolation.
Social distancing and isolation place an enormous strain on families, especially those already suffering with poor mental health, physical illness and financial hardship.
Home-Start are adapting quickly to the ever changing situation and the needs of families in Wandsworth. Support services have been moved online to ensure that families, volunteers and staff remain connected. Telephone support is being offered to families and essential food, medical and baby supplies delivered to those who need them. Families are also being signposted and referred to a host of other support services where appropriate.
More and more local families are struggling, especially with their mental health and finances and Home-Start are fully expecting to see a sharp rise in the number of referrals in the coming weeks and months.
With fundraising events being cancelled and longer-term grant funding at risk, like many other charities, one of Home-Start’s biggest challenges is securing the income they need to continue their vital work today and in the future. They need your help. For more information on ways to help visit the website or you can donate to their emergency fund.
Thank you
