theWiser collective Sharing skills across the generations
A message from Sarah and Claire at the Wiser Collective: ” We miss getting together with neighbours of different generations
…but we are still here!
Are you shielding, coming out of isolation, keen to get back to normality or taking things slowly? Have you spent time on a new or neglected skill in lockdown? Is there something you’d like to do but you need help with?
Just fancy a chat?
Drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know how you’re getting on and, if you prefer to chat than type, just send us your phone number and one of us will be glad to give you a call to catch up.”
About the Wiser Collective
The Wiser Collective is a group of community-minded local people keen to encourage friendship and skill sharing between different generations.
Over the past few months, they’ve adapted what they do to focus on one to one support for those needing help, for example with shopping, prescriptions or a friendly chat. They work closely with the Social Prescribing service at Balham surgery to identify ways to help.
They hope to build up their activities again as restrictions ease, including they hope, skill sharing events like their much enjoyed ‘Skill Share Saturdays’ at Balham Library. Meanwhile they would be very pleased to hear from anyone who’d like to be involved or find out more. Email email@example.com .
