THE TOOTING BLACK POUND DAY TRAIL
Saturday 5th September
The Tooting Black Pound Trail on Saturday 5th September is an opportunity to celebrate independent black businesses in Tooting and recognise the amazing talent and skill they offer.
To take part, pick up a directory of the participating businesses, which will be available at Tooting Bec and Tooting Broadway tube stations from 11am to 12 noon on Saturday, then start your stroll or ride through Tooting around the shops and restaurants involved. There will be a number of promotional offers.
Your support on 5th September will help build up local black owned business, not just for now but for the longer term. #blackownedbusinesses #blackbusinessdirectory
Family Ride Out
Another way to take part in the Trail is to join the family cycle ride past the businesses concerned. This is also being organised by BLM. Cyclists are invited to meet in Dr Johnson’s Avenue on Tooting Common between 11am and 12 noon.
Black Pound Day
Black Pound Day is a national initiative to keep money cycling locally with a focus on black owned businesses.
