Everyone loves Tooting – its green spaces, streets, people and buzz.
Local photographer Amy Adams has amassed a huge number of photos of Tooting and Furzedown showing the Common, the high street, people, the lido, heritage buildings, and more, and is keen to publish them as a book ‘Wild about Tooting and Furzedown’.
She’s asking for your support to make this a reality – see her crowdfunding page at https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/wild-about-tooting-and-furzedown
Amy’s photos are beautiful – see the shots of the Common above and below. Her book would be a wonderful resource, and I hope you’ll be able to give it support. The money raised will help to design, publish and distribute the book, now that Covid 19 has shut down the expected sources of funding.
£1 from every book sold will go to the South London Swimming Club who help run the Tooting Bec Lido.
If you’d like to see another side of Amy’s work, take a look at the superb photos she took of the BATCA Community Awards presentation in November last year (scroll down to the bottom of the page) http://batca.org/ch-2019/
