2-5pm Saturday 25th September
St Mary’s, Balham High Road, SW12 9BS
This is a super lively eco festival full of fun and interest for all. There’ll be stalls, activities, crafts, talks, and fun for kids, all sending out the green message. There’ll be live music and refreshments and a guided walk. Many community groups from Balham and Tooting will be there including Transition Town Tooting, XR, Beautify Balham, Share and Repair, Meet and Make Spaces and others.
The BATCA barrow
BATCA will add a colourful touch by contributing a decorative barrow full of plants in flower. The plants will be environmentally friendly – drought tolerant and/or pollinator friendly – as well as looking good.
If you’d like to help put the barrow together, please let me know. Any contributions of plants in flower in pots (plastic for weight reasons) on the lines above would be welcome. The brighter the better! If you can help, please let me know in the next few days.
There’s masses of enthusiasm for this opportunity to bring together local people concerned about the environment and the need to promote a more sustainable way of life. Please pass the word and come yourself – help the planet and have a great afternoon!
