Tackling hate crime, hate speech and subtler forms of discrimination is an issue for everyone. How can we help prevent it? What are the tools we need?
Wandsworth Council is organising a series of events during National Hate Crime Awareness Week to raise awareness of hate crime and empower people to challenge it.
‘Let’s talk about hate crime’
5.30-7.30pm Wednesday 13th October at the Town Hall
This is a meeting for everyone – individuals, community groups and formal agencies – are invited to contribute their ideas for combatting prejudice and their experience of doing so. It should be an illuminating and worthwhile evening. All are welcome. Register via the booking information in the flyer above.
‘Stand by me’ – Bystander Intervention Training
10am-4pm Friday 15th October at the Town Hall
This is a training event for individuals, local groups and agencies to equip people to help victims of bullying, harassment and prejudice. Booking information on the flyer below.

Online course for men only, 1-4pm, Friday October 15th
This on line course has the aim of empowering men to become allies of women in combatting prejudice and misogyny. Booking information on the flyer below.
