Free training from CAB/ WCEN on advising those facing financial hardship

1-4pm Thursday 24th February online 
This is to alert you to a free online training opportunity Citizens’ Advice and WCEN (Wandsworth Community Empowerment Network) are running on 24th Feb, between 1-4pm. It is aimed at staff or volunteers from community and faith groups, voluntary sector organisations, and statutory services in Wandsworth.

Financial Hardship 
Learn more about the advice and support available to help people who are experiencing financial hardship.

As energy bills and the cost of living rises, more people will be facing financial hardship in Wandsworth. At this session, Citizens Advice Wandsworth (CAW) will present and answer questions on options and support available for people facing financial hardship. This will include an introduction to the support on offer in applying for hardship and crisis payments, benefit checks to maximise income, how to challenge benefits decisions, and how to access debt advice. The session will also include an introduction to different CAW projects and services, what advice and support clients can expect from these and how to help people access advice.
