|Great news! A donation of £4,250 will be made to the St George’s Hospital Charity from the proceeds of the Community Fun Day on Saturday 25th June. It will go to the campaign to improve and extend the hospital’s paediatric wards.
Thank you to everyone involved in helping reach this great total – the record crowds who came and spent enthusiastically, our generous sponsors and donors and everyone who helped organise or staff the day to make it a wonderful community festival.
This donation will continue the tradition of successive Fun Days in raising funds for St. George’s Hospital. This year’s donation will bring the total to well over £30,000. Read more about the Charity https://www.stgeorgeshospitalcharity.org.uk/
In addition, a donation of £700 will be made to the Sickle Cell Society, the charity supporting those affected by sickle cell disorder. https://www.sicklecellsociety.org/
There will be a formal presentation of the donations in the autumn.
We look back with joy and satisfaction at the Fun Day, which brought together the whole community for a day of celebration, and showed again what an amazing area we live in.
